Ryan

'Ryan' is a portrait of my son, painted with soft pastel on Art Spectrum Colourfix pastel paper. I am invariably intrigued by the way light plays on the surface of my subject, portraits being my favorite subject matter. I am passionate about painting and sought to capture the sweet, almost sad expression on Ryan's face; I absolutely loved how the light source played across his features.
