Winning Team
Summertime brings out the field day competitions in rural Vermont. My favorite is the draft horse pulls. These magnificent creatures hold such power but willingly work for us. I want to honor them. This pastel is the 7th in a series on draft horses, though it's only the second one painted with pastels. I had so much fun playing with the light and movement because the sun was so strong on that hot summer afternoon.
