Painted in the studio from a photo I took on a painting trip to the Dolomite Mountains in Italy. I was moved to paint this piece because I wanted to relive the feeling of expansiveness I felt looking at the waves of distant mountains with wildflowers at my feet. Alcohol wash underpainting.
