Mass Marsh
On a visit to the Berkshire Mountains, I was treated to this wonderful, vibrant marsh scene, newly alive with beaver activity. There were a few lodges, dams and many pointed tree trunks, newly chewed. My intention was to convey both the peacefulness and the activity of the marsh, inviting the viewer to imagine what else could be found there. Alcohol wash underpainting covered with a variety of soft pastels.
