Soft Pastel on Uart sanded paper. I stumbled upon this scene on a country backroad just before dark. I photographed it and couldn't wait to work those clouds in the studio. I built the layers on a toned purple underpainting and had fun bringing those textures, layers and colors to life, while adding my spin to the composition.
