There is so much warmth and love in this painting—the light from the setting sun, the pictures on the wall, the knowledge that this is a familiar hallway in my now deceased but deeply cherished grandmother’s house. I went with extra saturated colors because I felt they would imbue the painting with even more joy. Soft pastel on lacarte pastel card.
