Pastel with a watercolor under-painting. I chose this site during the Fresh Paint Amana Plein Air painting competition in Iowa, September 2, 2023. The early morning sunlight bouncing off of buildings and trees caused a beautiful water reflection, turning otherwise muddy water into gorgeous colors.
