A New Day
Portrait of a fox and cub. Soft pastels and pastel pencils on Fisher 400 sanded paper. 16" x 12". I wanted to depict a scene of a fox and her tiny cub looking out onto a beautiful spring morning, ready to begin the day. I used many layers of soft pastel to convey the lush, green meadows that provide the perfect outlook for these adorable animals. The fox and cub were rendered in fine detail with pastel pencils.
