Falling Sky

Watching clouds descend down to obscure the mountain is a magical, rarely seen bonus to a tempest in the high desert of far West Texas. In this landscape, I let the multifaceted sky star and used the broken light on the mesa and grassland connect earth and sky. I let my wine-colored PastelMat serve as my underpainting, and let bits of it show in both sky and ground.
