Mom's Visitor

This piece was created with pastel on Sennelier Pastel Card. It was inspired by the English Cocker Spaniel that was brought by a staff member to visit residents of the nursing home my mother was staying in. This little dog brought her much joy as she has the misfortune of being a dog person in a family of cat people! I took the dark mocha coat and curly ears of this pup as a personal challenge and a piece I could share with my mother as a bright spot in the memory of her rehabilitation stay.
