I took the reference photo for this painting on Mother’s Day in Charmlee Park where there were a myriad of wildflowers blooming. The mist was rolling in in the distance. I used Rives BFK paper with a pale pink underpainting. Then, I covered it with clear gesso and added texture in the foreground before it dried.
