Lands End
I took the reference photo for this painting on a hike in Lands End, San Francisco on a chilly, cloudy day. I used Rives BFK paper and applied a dark purple underpainting in the dark areas and a medium pink underpainting on the rest. Then, I covered it with clear gesso, added a little texture and let it dry before using my pastels.
